Bajaj Auto sales up 9% to 1,82,956 units in July; exports down by 15%, Auto News, ET Auto
New Delhi:Pune-headquartered two and three-wheeler major Bajaj Auto today reported that its wholesales for July 2022 were at 354,670 units compared to 369,116 units in the same month last year, resulting in a decline of 4%.
It reported sales of 1,82,956 units of its two-wheelers and commercial vehicles in the domestic market in July, signifying a growth of 9% compared to 1,67,273 units in the same month last year.
Exports, however, declined 15% to 1,71,714 units from 2,01,843 vehicles in July 2021.
Total two-wheeler volumes, including exports, in July 2022 stood at 3,15,054 vehicles, a decline of 5% over 3,30,569 units in the same month a year ago.
But, domestic two-wheeler sales rose 5% to 1,64,384 vehicles as against 1,56,232 units in July 2021, the company said in a statement.
Two-wheeler exports last month declined by 14% to 1,50,670 units compared to 1,74,337 vehicles in the year-ago period.
Total commercial vehicle sales recorded a growth of 3% in the month to 39,616 units compared to 38,547 vehicles in July 2021, the company said.
Domestic commercial vehicle sales rose 68% to 18,572 vehicles as against 11,041 units in July 2021, the company said in a statement.
Meanwhile, commercial vehicle exports last month declined by 23% to 21,044 units compared to 27,506 vehicles in the year-ago period.
