Nod To Petrol Subsidy For Two-wheelers, Auto News, ET Auto

The Hemant Soren cabinet on Wednesday formally approved petrol subsidy scheme for ration card holders who own two-wheelers, covered under National Food Security Act or state scheme, which is set to be formally rolled out from Dumka on Republic Day.The cabinet approved INR 100.39 crore from exigency fund for rolling out the scheme in 2021-22 fiscal while the government has estimated financial burden of INR 901.86 crore annually. Chief minister Soren had announced to provide INR 25 as petrol subsidy on up to 10 litres per month for ration card holders who own two-wheelers, registered in the state.
Later in the day, Soren along with the state food and civil supplies department minister Rameshwar Oraon also launched CM Supports App and a web portal (http://jsfss.jharkhand.gov.in) where BPL card holders can start registration for seeking the subsidy which will be credited directly to the bank account after verification by district transport officers (DTOs).
